Jessie is a
brother with too many annoying sisters. However, one day he meets a boyish girl
named Leslie. Against all odds, Jessie develops a friendship with Leslie. The
two create a refuge in the woods they name Terabithia. The two use their
imaginations to escape the problems of the real world and find comfort in each
other. After a tragic accident, Leslie is dead and Jessie is left to make sense
of the events. Only with the help of his younger sister is he able to return to
Terabithia.
