To fill his time, Leigh Botts writes letters to his favorite author. Leigh lives with his
mother in a small home because his parents are divorced. Although Leigh does
not have friends at school, his absent father troubles him more. After his
favorite author suggests he keep a diary, he begins to chronicle the events of
his life.
